Tween Girl Magazines: Review of Kiki Magazine

A Tween Magazine Parents Would Approve Of

Sally Albright
"Who's KiKi?"

"Kiki's a girl who loves life, appreciates creativity, recognizes good ideas. Kiki is discerning. She thinks for herself. She has her own look. Kiki's on her way to be being confident, strong, and smart. She's a girl with style and substance." --Quoted from Kikimag.com.

In the search of a magazine for my tween daughter I came across a little known magazine called Kiki. The magazine seems to set itself apart from other magazines by providing tween girls the opportunity to read a magazine that isn't filled with celebrity gossip, sexual undertones, or any other age inappropriate article for girls. According to the Kiki magazine website, the magazine is geared towards girls ages 8 to 14.

Kiki magazine also claims to be a magazine for girls with style and substance. The magazine is about fashion for tween girls but also claims to be filled with articles about world culture, fine art, as well as other subjects that a parent does not mind having their tween girls read and learn about.

I plan on subscribing my own tween daughter to this magazine as it sounds like a tween magazine I can get on board with. If you wish to subscribe your tween daughter to Kiki magazine you can visit their website here. The cost of an annual (quarterly) subscription to Kiki magazine is just $24.

I came across this magazine late last year and ordered a subscription for my daughter. It's phenomonal! Nothing like the run of the mill fashion magazines at all. Instead of just dictating fashion trends or telling girls what the celebrities are wearing, Kiki educates girls on the real behind the scenes of fashion industry. It's educational and so much fun. My daughter loves it!
