Twelve O'Clock - Poem

Chad R. Herman
Twelve 0'clock midnight,
does Cinderella really
turn into a pumpkin?

Midnight -
is that really when the
lights went out in Georgia?

Midnight - and the
gas stations stop
fueling - Why?

Twelve O'clock and
all is well - and yet...

Twelve O'clock midnight
a time
you never want to hear
an Ambulance Siren.

Midnight, the witching hour
or a way to keep the
peace and everyone in
their homes.

Midnight - twelve o'clock
and the balls chime 12
the little hand and the big hand
meet and overlap,
the calendar looses a page,
and the sleeping millions
gain another day.
