One Dozen Ways to Give Away Flowers

R.A. Riter
When in a romantic relationship, giving your partner flowers can be such an uplifting act that your partner will not soon forget. The sincerity can sweep your lover off their feet. The following are twelve different ideas in which you can give your loved one flowers.

The Morning Flowers. If you were to leave in the morning before your partner were to awake, placing flowers beside their bed would be an idea. Not only would they wake up to the beautiful sight of flowers, they would be reminded that someone loves them, which would carry them throughout the day. Simply placing those on a table beside their bed, making sure they would see them when they awoke, can lift your partner's spirits for the day.

The School/Work Flowers. Nothing can be more critical when giving flowers than the place. There are two settings best for this - one in a very public place with familiar faces you both are comfortable with, and one in a secluded place just for the two of you. This idea goes with the public theme. Showing up to your partner's work or class and handing them flowers will blow them away. Their co-workers or classmates will be stunned. From personal experience, everyone will be talking. For the remainder of the day, all the people surrounding your partner will chatter about what happened, creating a buzz that will make your partner feel as special as they really are. Don't make it a big deal, however. Simply drop by; maybe say a sentence or two then leave. Let your partner tell everyone just how special they are.

The One By One Flowers. This is an idea for a romantic date, following the setting of seclusion. When picking your partner up for a date, give them an empty vase. Then, as the night progresses, give them one flower at random times. By the end of the night, your partner will have a vase full of flowers. This will keep her excited. By giving her an empty vase, she will know what to expect but not realize when. Then, as the night progresses, she will be anxious as to when she will get another flower. One tip can be to make it seem like you only give her two or three flowers, and after every flower, you announce that this "may be the last one." Keeping her on her toes will keep the night interesting as she will only be focused on the flowers, bringing her mind back to how special of a guy you are.

The Grocery Store Flowers. If you and your partner have been out shopping all day and you find yourself at a supermarket that has flowers, here is an idea. Simply pull your partner to the side and ask them which flowers they like the best. Ask them in a way that they may suspect you will buy them. When they pick one, simply pick it up and put it in the cart. Following it up with a sweet line, such as complimenting on their choice or remarking on how well this would look on the kitchen counter will relieve all the stress from the long day. Although the feeling may only last one minute, you will have gotten your partner's mind off all the work and have put a smile on their face.

The Nonchalant Flowers. This idea is one that you should plan for, but make it seem like you didn't. Go to the store and buy flowers, hiding them when your partner arrives at your house. Then, when you find yourself sitting around, bring out the flowers. Wait some time before bringing them out. Act nonchalant when bringing them the flowers, such that you make it no big deal that you would do this for them. When giving the flowers away, use a tone that makes it sound like this was not a big deal. This will have them react and see that you would do this for them. They may even be left wondering that if you did plan something, how spectacular it could be.

The Just-Stopping-By Flowers. This only works if you don't live with your partner. When you know they have an appointment or an event they must go to, stop by for one minute with flowers. Tell them you know they have to go for these plans, but you just wanted to stop by and give these to them because you couldn't stop thinking about them. Then, when on their way to whatever they had planned, they will be thinking about you. Make it a brief visit, going only over there to give them the flowers and leaving.

The Thank You Flowers. This is your simple bouquet, given as a thank you. Make up creative reasons for your thank you, though. This could be anywhere from saying thanks for giving me love or thanks for picking up the fork I dropped yesterday. When coming up with the random thanks, such as the fork, your partner will realize that you only stopped by because you love them. This is the goal. Make them realize that you thought about them and, even if your excuse is a silly one, stop by to say thank you.

The Accomplishment Flowers. As with the Thank You Flowers, these can be turned from basic into romantic. If your partner did something that means a lot to them, send them flowers. It could range from getting a promotion to them not biting their nails for one week. Make it funny, make it sweet, and make it something that they can look at and smile about.

The Courage Flowers. When your partner is undergoing a stressful event, send them flowers. Let them know that you are thinking about them and you hope they will make it through this. Uplifting their spirits can be done for a few moments when they notice they have flowers, which may make all the difference to them.

The Search Flowers. When with your partner, hide flowers somewhere, such as in a closet or in their room somewhere. Then, tell them you hid flowers somewhere. Have them look all around for them. Another variation could be to just tell them where they are. In the middle of a conversation, you can blow them off their feet by interrupting them and saying "By the way, I put some flowers in your closet. When you have a minute, you should check them out. Back to what you were saying...". Teasing them about the fact they you got them flowers can drive them further in love with you.

The Poem Flowers. These are meant to be heartfelt, usually for an occasion. When giving your partner, write them a poem. Compare your partner to the flowers. Write about how these beautiful flowers reminded you of them. Explain why you wanted to get these flowers and spill all the reasons you love them. Actions speak louder than words, but words can speak pretty loud some times. Combining the flowers with a poem is a combination meant to blow your partner away.

The Day Before Valentine's Day Flowers. Everyone knows that giving away flowers on Valentine's Day is romantic, but you can spice it up a bit. Give them flowers the day before, telling them that they are so special, they deserved more than one day of flowers. You could also say that they are so special, they deserve their own Valentine's Day. Be creative about the possibilities.

In reality, there really is no wrong time to give your partner flowers. This simple act, no matter how innocent or unplanned it can be, can guide a relationship further. The above ideas are just a couple of ways you can woo your partner.
