Twenty Five Gift Ideas for Father's Day: All for $20.00 Or Less

One: Get dad a CD of music that HE likes. If you don't know, ask mom.

Two: A gift certificate to dad's favorite barber shop is a great gift idea. For an extra touch you can create a Father's Day card to go with it that has the traditional barber shop pole on the front.

Three: If dad is a pizza lover, get him a gift certificate to his favorite pizza shop.

Four: Slippers are great for moseying around the house on those rare lazy days that dad gets off. You can use the occasion to get funky and get him some with rhinestones, king of the house slogans, or some other idea that is bound to make him laugh.

Five: Treat dad to breakfast out on his big day.

Six: Get dad his favorite classic movie that he doesn't own

Seven: Have dad's favorite picture of his children enlarged and then purchase a frame to put it in. Or you could have a picture of him and his dad together put into a nice frame for him.

Eight: Purchase dad a t-shirt with his favorite singer or rock band on the front. This gift has a high probability of being a delightful surprise gift because at his age it is probably something he would not purchase for himself but would still like to have.

Nine: If dad likes sports, get him a t-shirt with his favorite team on it.

Ten: Get dad socks with his favorite sports team emblem on them.

Eleven: Make dad a CD of his favorite music.

Twelve: Head out to the local book store and purchase dad a book by his favorite author (one that he does not already have) or a newly published book on a subject he enjoys reading about. You can look through discount racks in local bookstores for really great deals.

Thirteen: If dad reads the Bible but has not had a new one for ages, getting him one for Father's Day could really please him. If he has the New International Version, get him the King James Version, unless he only prefers the one format, or vice versa.

Fourteen: Get dad a journal to write his thoughts in. You can get him a nice faux leather finish at your local bookstore.

Fifteen: If dad likes to golf, you can purchase him some really nice golf balls with just about any kind of insignia or monogram that you know he would like.

Sixteen: For some reason most dads do not get themselves swimming trunks. This could be the perfect time to purchase them for him if he is one of those dads (and, of course, if he will have opportunity to use them). You could even have mom plan a surprise Father's Day picnic at the beach or local lake later in the day so he has an opportunity to use them right away (provided you do not have a swimming pool right in your own yard).

Seventeen: Get dad a nice health and beauty set for men. The set could have nail clippers, nose hair trimmers, a shaving cream later brush, etc.; whatever you think would be relevant to your father's grooming routine.

Eighteen: Get dad a travel coffee cup with a picture of mom or mom and the kids on it.

Nineteen: Draw dad a picture or write him a poem and put it in a frame.

Twenty: Get dad the classic chef's hat for when he is cooking at the grill.

Twenty One: Get dad the classic full front apron and have it personalized, again, for when dad is cooking at the grill.

Twenty Two: Get dad a gift certificate to the local home improvement warehouse (such as Home Depot, Lowe's, or a local place that he frequents).

Twenty Three: If dad likes sweets but has to compete with the family to get any before they are gone, make him a nice gift basket with his favorite types of snacks or treat inside, such as nuts, candies, trail mixes, etc.

Twenty Four: Get him a World's Greatest Dad coffee cup, t-shirt, tie, boxers, etc. Although a classic and predictable gift, it is still a well-appreciated one because it is an easy way to remind dad he is appreciated.

Twenty Five: If dad is a busy man, and does not already have one, get him a nice appointment book to help him to remember what is on his busy schedule.

With a little thought and creativity, purchasing a gift for $20.00 and under can be done and be done well.
