Rubicon Cross-- a collaborative effort
I got a note from CJ Snare of Firehouse who told me about his new album and he was thrilled about it he told me. His new album-- Rubicon Cross-- which is a collaboration with Chris Green is music that CJ told me made him jump up and down when he recently heard it get local play on a Florida radio station...imagine the thrill of hearing your work play on the radio. It was released about six weeks ago. He and Chris Green were both obviously thrilled when they heard their collaborative effort on FM radio. I'd be jumping too!

Full Circle--a compilation
Full Circle, Firehouse's compilation effort of the last twenty year's efforts is to be released on June 1, 2011 just about two weeks from now: they're awaiting the final artwork on the cover to be completed and printed out. WOO HOO!! This means a lot to me since CJ is a high school buddy of mine from my hometown of Lock Haven, Pa...his songs from the 1990s are awesome and are great singing music and have a lot of passion in their great lyrics. If you're reading this you already know how great the songs are.

Firehouse played a concert in Columbia, Md on May 14, 2011 and the energy was high as it usually is at their gatherings. I'll put a few links to his songs from that weekend concert here...just left-click this hyperlink and take a listen to his live performance of Don't Treat Me Bad this past weekend. His songs take me back to when we were kids in the Haven--Lock Haven. He has yet to do any songs about our trips to judo class where we spent weeknights in 11th grade. His sense of style drew him away from Kung-Fu Fighting type songs.

Maybe some UFO songs are upcoming since it looks as if more songs are percolating for CJ. We used to sit and look out over the valley and imagine UFOs flying over the local airport...that might not be song worthy, but it was funny.

His parents live in DC so I guess his recent concert reunited him with his parents in his original hometown and brought him back near to his Washington, DC birthplace...my brother also was born in the district. CJ moved to Lock Haven by my recollection when he was ten years old.

Be sure to check out the hyperlinks to his videos and also check out my previous stories about CJ and Firehouse...WOO HOO!!

Here's another hyperlink ...it's to Love of a Lifetime.
