Twenty Survivors Return to Battle Again on Heroes Vs Villains

Reality Rehash
Survivor Heroes vs Villains started off in a big way, a two hour season premiere, three injuries and and huge scramble before the first Tribal Council. The two tribes arrived in Samoa in style with four helicopters. The Heroes stepped out first and consist of: Colby, Candice, Cirie, Tom, Stephanie, Sugar, JT, Rupert, Amanda and James. Next up were the Villains who wear red and consist of: Russell, Rob, Jerri, Randy, Courtney, Parvati, Sandra, Tyson, Coach and Danielle. Jeff was there to great them of course and things started off similar to a Tribal Council. Jeff prodded at the contestants to get somewhat pre-game thoughts. Russell was in awe of the people he was to be playing with while Parvati believed she shouldn't be a villain. Actually all the villains, except Jerri, had the same thought.

With the discussion out of the way it was time to see what the two veteran tribes were made of in their first challenge for fire. It was a rehash, as all challenges will be this season, from Survivor Exile Island. Two from each tribe would race down the beach and dig up a bag. The first to then bring the bag back to their tribe's mat would win a point. First to three points wins. The ladies were up first with Cirie/Steph vs Parvati/Danielle. Cirie was a workhorse in the challenge and talked both her opponents several times. In the end it was Steph who would be hurt though as her shoulder was popped out of its socket. It looked rather painful but luckily it went back in with ease without taking Steph out of the game early.

As the challenge progressed there were more memorable moments. Like for instance when Sandra opened Sugar's bra, allowing her to run to the mat with the bag with her "sugar bags" hanging out for all to see. I knew Sugar was crazy but that's just another crazy moment for the crying lady. Do I smell a Playboy shoot in her future? There was also Coach destroying Colby by dragging him to the mat and Rupert breaking his toe, making him somewhat useless at camp. It all came down to the tie breaking point though with the Rookies coming out with the win and fire. They went to camp happy but the Villains wouldn't be without fire for long.

All 20 castaways I'm sure had a deja-vue moment when landing at their respective beaches. Russell most of all and the viewers did as well as Russell built yet another "dumb ass girl" alliance. He told Danielle that they would go to final two and then went on to tell Parvati the same thing. She seemed to be on to him though but would rather make a deal with the devil then go against him. We also had a somewhat romance blossom between Jerri and Coach, which was odd, as the two flirted. I'm not sure if its up to the level of Rob/Amber yet, but this is how they started. Another amazing moment for the show is Rob starting fire, without any flint or help of glass. He used two bamboo sticks and created a spark in what seemed to be an impossible way. It's the first time it was ever done on Survivor and it makes it all worth the twenty seasons to witness that moment.

The Heroes tribe was obviously relishing their win as they took a dip in the ocean before doing anything. Sugar somewhat put them in their place though by forcing them to decide where to place their camp and put Rupert/Tom in charge. The Heroes had some luck of their own though with a pack of four chickens roaming into camp. Tom led the group into catching them and with that they had won yet another reward without really even having to compete for it. I guess we won't be seeing chickens pop up anytime soon thanks to Jeff. Alliances were a scramble on the Heroes as Tom/Stephanie paired up yet again, JT/James paired up, Candice/Colby paired up and Cirie/Amanda paired up also. Rupert and Sugar was the only two left out of the loop and that is odd for Rupert. He seems to be out of his element this time around, he can't do much with his toe broken and will have to step it up as JT started the fire after Rupert wasted hours trying.

The next day the tribes had both good and bad experiences. Colby was annoyed by Sugar's constant flirting and it put a damper on everyone else's morning as well considering she kept waking them up. On the other side of things it seemed more happy and fun as Coach tried to climb a coconut tree while Rob and Sandra bet on if he would fall off or not. The two seem to get along well and I have a feeling they will be a pair to reckon with, if Rob can stay alive and stop passing out that is. It was then into their first immunity challenge for the season and it was a rehash from Cook Islands. After putting together a puzzle boat, six would paddle out to retreive fire. The remaining four would put together a puzzle and with that they could climb up the ladder and win safety.

The Heroes were off to a strong lead. They had their boat together and were starting back before the Villains even had their own boat together. They fell apart at the puzzle though as Sandra and Rob worked overtime to catch up and it gave them the first win of the season as the "bad guys" celebrated. They did so back at camp as well as the team seemed to have more fun and were happy about knocking down the good guys. Russell had the best comment though saying they are now the villains, considering someone how to get back stabbed already on day three.

Back on the Heroes tribe all were devastated. Nobody wanted to go home and everyone was making deals. The first name that came up was Amanda as she was close to Cirie and also close to James. That came from Sugar and I'm sure it's because she's jealous of her. Colby then pushed for Sugar to go, for obvious reasons, but Tom wanted to make a move to take out Cirie. He's scared of her being with Amanda but Cirie had the opposite idea and wanted to take out Stephanie for being too close to Tom. It seems the two pairs are at each other already so there really was no set person on going. Tribal Council somewhat made it more clear though as everyone wanted to strengthen the tribe. That led to one person: Sugar who everyone voted for. Sugar is an obvious first boot in a tribe full of all stars. She can't hide here like she did last time and she has no Ace in her pocket. Next week it looks like Rob is in a bit of trouble and it was very freaky to say the least.
