Twilight Dolls, Other Items, Offered at Black Friday Prices Before Thanksgiving

Sears and Walmart Already Offering Price Rollbacks, Black Friday Deals

Jan Corn
According to studies, including Walmart customer research, more than 50 percent of mothers plan to have all their holiday shopping done by Thanksgiving, including toys (don't know where fathers fit into the holiday shopping equation or when they get it done). This year, one of the hottest toys could well be Twilight dolls, based on the very popular series and bestselling books.

Many retailers, including Walmart - located at walmart.com - have taken a very aggressive stance on sales of Twilight Barbies and other Twilight merchandise (some of which can be found exclusively at Walmart).

In addition to Twilight dolls, made by the Barbie company, and an excusive Twilight board game, Walmart also offers major rollbacks on more than 100 toys, with an amazing number of toys and games priced at $10 or less. If early cutbacks are any indication, the best Black Friday prices may be found well ahead of time, while Christmas gifts are still in stock.

Exclusive items, including Walmart's Twilight board game, may be particularly desirable for fans of Twilight. The board game could even be a collector's item. With a new Twilight movie coming to screens soon, buying ahead of time could be a win/win situation for Christmas shoppers.

At least 100 Walmart toys, including Barbies, Wii packs and Fisher Price toys, have had recent rollbacks.

Current rollbacks affect such popular toys as Fisher-Price Power Wheels Kawasakis, which are priced at $178, a ten percent savings over the previous price. Many classic games are only $5, including Candyland, Yahtzee and Chutes and Ladders. In many cases, this amounts to nearly a 40 percent savings over regular prices -and a coupon isn't even required to take advantage of these savings.

I don't know about the average buyer but I haven't seen prices this low in nearly 15 years! Deals can be seen at the Walmart.com website. Just check the Rollbacks sections.

Sears also offering Black Friday and Christmas savings for shoppers now - not later - with weekly "Black Friday" updates

Sears is offering Black Friday price savings from Oct. 31 through Christmas, with weekly updates. Although occurring well before Black Friday, they will be called "Black Friday" deals and will be offered weelly at Sears stores, including every Saturday from 7 am to 12 pm. This could be another way for Christmas shoppers to save money well ahead of the traditional after Thanksgiving price cuts. Televisions that normally retail for over $600 are slated to sell for as low as $499, including a Zenith 42 inch plasma television. Since we stop by Sears often, I'll be eager to see each week's Black Friday deals. Shopper do have to stop by the store to get info on these price cuts.

The Black Friday price cuts on Craftsmen tool sets (50 percent off) would certainly tempt me to get my shopping done early. Why wait to deal with the Black Friday lines and chaos?

Christmas shoppers who shop at Sears and Walmart now could avoid disappointment on Black Friday

The prices cuts offered now indicate a very competitive Christmas shopping season and that works to the customer's advantage. Prices are already so low on many items that it might not make sense to get up early on Black Friday, fight the crowds and try to find deals then. Sometimes when prices on Twilight dolls and other items are low enough, playing the waiting game could be a losing game.

bwahaha twilight and new moon! how about puzzles? keychains? posters? music boxes? random lunchpail but-its-not-really-a-lunchpail type boxes? paperweight hearts and apples? godiva bars with packaging printed from the book cover art? flip wooden calendars! regular calendars... tshirts! not only an twilight game but a twilight scene it as well! how about bookends that look like pawn and king chess pieces to match the cover art of breaking dawn? it's amazing how much has come out supporting that stuff!

Hm, to the best of my knowledge and experience, fathers shop only for mothers and mothers shop for everybody else, so I doubt the fathers are in a tearing hurry :)
