Twilight Eclipse Has Racked in Fans and Money.

Twilight Eclipse has racked in fans and money. The premier of the Twilight Saga Eclipse has made box office history. Twilight Eclipse made well over $30 million dollars for its debut between the hours of 12:01 am and 3 am. When New Moon made its midnight debut in November 2009 the record was $26,3M. With figures like this Twilight Eclipse may be the biggest movie to date.

Twilight Saga fans are packing the theaters to see Eclipse. It appears that Twilight has put a whole other spin on good versus evil vampire theory. Women and teens are going crazy over actor Robert Pattinson who plays Edward Cullen. Pattinson has been named one of the world's most powerful celebrities this week by Forbes Magazine.

Although Twilight fans are crazy over this vampire saga the media isn't being fair enough to fans. Melissa Click professor at the University of Missouri noted this post "The media have belittled the reactions girls and women have had to the Twilight series and the actors who play their favorite characters, frequently using Victorian era gendered words like 'fever,' 'madness,' 'hysteria,' and 'obsession' to describe Twilighters and Twi-hards," she wrote, later adding, "These reports of girls and women seemingly out of their minds and out of control disparage female fans' pleasures and curtail serious explorations of the strong appeal of the series."

Reports like this can piss off Twilight fans. The Bella and Edward connection is what draws in Twilight fans. Many Twilight fans love the chemistry between Bella and Edward while other fans love the vampire and werewolf theme. Britten Johnson, administrator for Twilight Moms said, "We pick apart the books like we were in English class and we really delve into the lore and the sc-fi fantasy and the symbolism and all that stuff. That's what really gets us going. For the most part, most of the women I've met are not like that. We really get annoyed with the way that the media portrays that."

With Twilight being a huge box office hit, I think many fans would approve of a Twilight series for television. The ratings would soar through the roof if this happens. The vampire Diaries is drawing huge ratings as vampires are all the rage now thanks to Twilight. Love it or hate it Twilight is here to stay and will be talked about for sometime to come.

It's refreshing to see not everyone is belittling the fans :)
