Twilight: Eclipse Casting News

Just as the second installment of Twilight: New Moon is set to hit theaters this Thanksgiving casting has begun on the third movie sequel Twilight: Eclipse. For those of you new to the Twilight Saga, it is a young adult adventure romance chronicle about a girl named Bella and vampire named Edward.

The popularity of this story is not surprising; Stephenie Meyer has created a contemporary supernatural version of Romeo and Juliet. She has done something that hasn't been done since Shakespeare originally about young love. Twilight is really about young romance and the exciting all consuming passion that one can only experience with their first love.

Twilight Eclipse is scheduled to release in June 2010, but casting is almost complete and filming in Vancouver begins soon. Rumors say that producers are seeking to fill the Extra Positions during filming seeking students and others to fill background positions.

Kristen Stewart will be playing Bella Swan again with her love interest in the movie Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen. Jackson Rathbone returns as Jasper Hale. Bryce Dallas Howard has replaced Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria

Taylor Lautner returns as Jacob Black and newcomer to the series Catalina Sandino Moreno playing Maria who is Jasper Hale's vampire ex-girl. Xavier Samuel, a newcomer to the Twilight: Saga, will be playing the character of Riley.

A new character named Royce King II, a human from the Depression, will be played by Jack Huston, who is the son of Tony Huston, nephew of Academy Awards winner Anjelica Huston and Grandson of famous director John Huston.

Eclipse is said to continue all the challenge of Bella's and Robert's romance and Jacob will continue to vie for Bella's love, but things do get more complicated when vampires go on the hunt for Bella. New Moon will be released this November and Eclipse is scheduled for release in June of 2010.
