Twilight and Our Addiction with Bella and Edward

When you start reading the Twilight books by Stephanie Myer, you imagine for a moment what it would be like to be Bella Swan. Young and in love with a vampire. We actually see Edward through Bella's eyes- right down to his color changing eyes, handsome looks and pale skin. You feel the happiness she feels whenever Edward is around her and the disappointment when he isn't. So why are we so obsessed with this couple?

The answer is simple. We all wish we could have the kinda love they have for each other and the passion.
The way Edward brushes her cheek, watches over her in her sleep, to his famous "You are my life now" quote in the first Twilight book, it makes us want to be Bella Swan, and makes our heart skip a beat.

He is always watching over her, and when Bella finds trouble, which she always does, Edward is there to rescue her. Edward is Bella's knight in shining armour but with one major difference, with fangs.

We feel the frustrations Edward feels not being able to read Bella's thoughts, to his restraint in not losing control and changing her, to his undying devotion to make sure she is safe. No matter if you are 13 or 60, this couple "pulls" you in,
and keeps you wanting more.

In Myer's second book, New Moon, we feel Bella's pain when Edward disappears from her life. We all have been through heart break at some point in our lives, we feel her pain but know that Edward left not because he didn't love her but because he loved her more than anything else. We know that they will find a way back to each other somehow.

After Edward Cullen, I will never look at vampires the same way again. He is not a monster, but an angel to us and to Bella. Everything a vampire is not.

Stephanie Myer eloquently brings this couple's love to life for us, that draws us in. Once you start reading the books, you just can't put them down. We just can't get enough of Edward & Bella.

For us "Twilight Addicts", we feel a great sadness when you finally get done reading the last installment of Stephanie Myer Breaking Dawn. You have a "it's over" feeling but we can take a deep sigh of relief in anticipation of watching these superb books play out in theaters. We are safe in knowing that Edward & Bella will be around for years to come and we count down the days until Nov 20 when the New Moon movie is released in theaters.
