Twilight Saga: New Moon DVD Release Date and Where to Pre-order Your DVD or Blu-Ray

Attention all Twilight fans! The Twilight Saga: New Moon DVD and Blu-Ray will be released on March 20, 2010. To ensure that you will have the New Moon DVD as soon as it is released, you may want to consider pre-ordering it. But where is the best place to pre-order your New Moon DVD?

The most popular places offering pre-orders of New Moon on DVD and Blu-Ray, are Target, Barnes & Noble, Wal-Mart, Amazon, Borders and Best Buy. Deciding on where to pre-order your DVD depends on the features you are looking for. Some stores are offering exclusive features, while others are hoping to lure you in with low prices.

The 2-disc Special Edition New Moon DVD seems to be the standard edition found at most stores. The second disk contains special features including a commentary with the Director of New Moon, Chris Weitz, and New Moon Editor, Peter Lambert. There is also a six-part documentary which covers the making of the New Moon movie.

If you are the type of Twilight fan who wants to know everything there is to know about New Moon, then I recommend going with Target to pre-order your New Moon DVD. Target is offering an exclusive three-disc edition which includes a collectible film cell. Target is a bit vague about what is on their third disc, only saying it has content never seen before. The nice thing about ordering from Target, is their price guarantee on all New Moon DVD and Blu-Ray pre-orders. If Target lowers their price before the release date, you will be charged the lower price. The current price at Target for the 3-disc Deluxe Edition New Moon DVD with bonus Collectible Film Cell is $26.99. The Blu-Ray 2-Disc Deluxe Edition is $29.99.

Barnes & Noble offers an Exclusive Edition of the New Moon DVD. It contains the standard 2-disc Special Edition set, but also includes a Dreamcatcher bag clip. The bag clip has a metal dreamcatcher, wolf pack charm, feathers and crystals. The price for the Barnes and Noble Exclusive DVD Edition with dreamcatcher is $23.79 (members $21.41). The Blu-Ray Exclusive Edition with dreamcatcher is $31.99 (members $28.79).

If you are looking for the lowest price, Barnes & Noble currently has the lowest price for the Special Edition 2-disc New Moon DVD, but only if you are a Barnes & Noble member. Their member price is $20.78. If you aren't a Barnes & Noble member, then Amazon is the cheapest at $21.99 for the 2-disc Special Edition New Moon DVD.

If you are looking for a Blu-Ray edition of New Moon, the current lowest price can be found at both Amazon and Borders. They are selling the Blu-Ray New Moon Special Edition for $24.99.
