Twilight Secrets: What Did the Hannah Hindi from the Hillywood Show Reveal at the Twilight Convention

As mentioned in Twilight Convention heats Nashville up, I wasn't really looking forward to the Hillywood Show part of the convention, because I had no idea what to expect and was afraid it would be kind of silly and hokey. Instead, I found the Hillywood show to be fun and entertaining. (See the video at the end of the article.) I was so impressed, I asked Hannah Hindi to answer a few questions, and she graciously granted me an exclusive interview.

The Hillywood Show is made up of two sisters creating clever parodies with just one camera. "It started back in 2006 when AOL put out a contest for teens to send in their own idea for a web show. We entered and placed 3rd out of 100,000 entries! We were thrilled! From there, we had fans telling us to continue with the show and so we did!" To fund the Hillywood show, the two sisters have worked as dance instructors.

Hannah revealed the sisters were not familiar with Twilight when friends told them they needed to see the vampire movie and do a Twilight Hillywood Show. "Once we saw the movie, we were inspired to create something that the fans would like!"

After creating the Twilight parody, the Hindi girls learned that a friend of theirs with Creation Entertainment, Adam Malin, was putting together the Official Twilight Convention. The girls sent him their Twilight parody, thinking he might show it at the convention. "He loved Twilight parody and asked us to simply come to the first Twilight convention put on by Creation Entertainment and be the hosts for the entire weekend. The first show was amazing! We were so overwhelmed with the response from fans loving us and our show!" Hannah was equally enthusiastic about Adam Malin. "He's so amazing at how he runs conventions! We consider him family."

Although most of their previous work has been filmed in Nevada where the girls live, most of the New Moon parody was shot in Forks and La Push, Washington, and took about five months to produce from pre-production, through post production. "We used the actual screen used truck from Twilight." Hannah went on to talk about the other characters. "Jacob (Edward) is a close family friend, Drew (Jasper) we met through the show when he was an extra in one of our episodes, Kyle (Jacob Black) is one of our second cousin's friends, and the dancers are actually our friends that we take dance with!" She revealed that not much rehearsal goes into a Hillywood show and that cast members practice their impersonations alone.

The Hillywood cast has had the opportunity to meet most of the Twilight cast except for the Big Three: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Hannah described Peter Facinelli as, "Very entertaining! He's very down to earth and one of the most genuine people we have met." About the other cast members she said, "They are all so much fun to talk to!"

Hannah Hindi on What's Next for Hillywood

Hannah stated that while funds are low right now, the sisters are thinking of making a Hillywood Show of "Alice in Wonderland" and would love to do an Eclipse parody.

Talented, engaging, unexpected, clever... did I say talented? These are all words I would use to describe the cast of the Hillywood Show.
