As the sun begins to set
In the twilight of the evening,
The pink hues of day's end
Welcome the blackness of the night.
The gleaming sun goes to rest below the horizon
As the full moon rises
To provide guidance and light
To the evening traveler.
Seafarers delight as they view the pink sky
For they know that the next day shall bring
Pleasant and fair weather
Fit for travel by sea.
