Twin City Grill at Minnesota's Mall of America: Restaurant Review:
Neighborhood: Mall of America
Bloomington, MN 55125
United States of America
Are you looking for a restaurant in the Twin Cities with consistently good food, good service and good value (not to mention free parking)? Check out the Twin City Grill on the Mall of America's lower level, near the north entrance, in Bloomington, Minnesota. Being someone who does not care for the chain restaurants or even frequenting one specific restaurant, Twin City Grill continues to exceed my expectations. I have been enjoying the Twin City Grill for over 10 years and have never been disappointed!

The menu is diverse and will please the pickiest eaters. The menu ranges from soups and salads, flat breads, sandwiches and burgers to steak and a Minnesota favorite, Walleye. They offer daily and nightly specials, combos and Twin City Classics at reasonable prices. The portions are a good size, but not gargantuan like many restaurants try to do these days and the quality and flavor are consistently good! Twin City Grill also offers a full bar and decent wine selection.

A few personal favorites are the toasted Macaroni and Cheese, flat bread and the St. Paul Chopped Salad. The macaroni and cheese is not your typical mac and cheese! It is served in a skillet with tomatoes, bacon, toasted breadcrumbs and a side of garlic toast. This particular item is not on the dinner menu, but all you have to do is ask and they are happy to serve it to you anytime!

On a recent visit with a somewhat picky co-worker, we ordered several different items to share. As a non-bacon eater, we asked if it was possible to get the Macaroni and cheese made with bacon in only half of the order, the server's response was 'of course'....they even split the order into 2 skillets for no extra charge! With several picky eater friends and family, I have found that the servers at Twin City Grill are always more than happy to accommodate special requests, substitutions and at dinner, ordering off the lunch menu.

This is one restaurant in the Twin Cities that I am confident taking out of town guests and picky eaters to! The cozy, casual but upscale atmosphere makes it a great place for families, girl's night out or date night. Although it is always bustling and there is often a wait, the food is good and the service is friendly, quick, attentive and accommodating, making it worth the wait.
