Places like these are something you always remember. You remember how you felt there. You remember the smell. You remember everything you experienced there and of course you remember the natural beauty it possessed. If you've never felt that way or want to feel that way again, visit Twin Falls, the most beautiful state park in West Virginia.
Twin Falls State park is located in Wyoming County, West Virginia. It's one of the few natural beauty's that's left in southern West Virginia. The park has been opened since 1970 and has 3,776 acres. The highest point is 2,480 feet. The park has many animals running around in it like, deer, turkey, squirrels, raccoons, coyotes, rabbits, skunks, hawks and owls to name a few. Some of the common trees you will see in this beautiful park are oak, hickory, maple, hemlock, mountain laurel and rhododendron.

There are 13 hiking trails ranging from an easy 1/4 mile walk to a challenging 3 1/2 mile hike that will make you feel like you've really accomplished something. Whether you like to sleep next to nature or right in the middle of it the park offers accommodations in their lodge, cottages or campsites. The lodge has a restaurant that's open year round for guests to enjoy. There is an 18-hole golf course for the golf enthusiasts. Also if you are interested in learning about your surroundings there is a nature center located at the lodge. The park also includes an outdoor amphitheater for outdoor programs. There are lots of large picnic areas for big groups as well as several picnic tables for individuals. One of the best things to do at the park is to walk to the Pioneer Farm where you see lots of farm animals living in a setting that takes you back in time. Of course the main attraction is the two unique waterfalls located on the Falls Trail.
