The demand for multiples-friendly items, periodicals, vacations and more is on the rise. Fortunately, for multiples moms like myself, there are many more stores and opportunities popping up on a regular basis. Magazines, such as Multiples Magazine and Twins Magazine, focus on reaching these fortunate families. Multiples Magazine has even organized a cruise for families with multiples for next spring. All sorts of online stores for multiples are popping up: Double Blessings, Gemini Greetings, Twinz Gear and so many more.
There are even more products for families of multiples, especially for those with very young twins. Check out the Extra Hand and the Double Decker Stroller. Don't be surprised when more companies like Graco, who makes an awesome double bassinet and twin stroller, start releasing even more products for taking care of many children at once. Even Babies R Us is increasing the size of its twin section.
If an entrepreneur is looking to target a certain demographic before deciding upon the product they would like to make, they should absolutely look at families of multiples. There are so many products that families with multiples need, but just don't have the time to pitch to a company. For example, a newborn swing set type of getup would be fabulous for rocking multiples at the same time... A crib attachment for a baby to rest near to prevent separation anxiety... Even a double or triple baby carrier. Families with multiples need convenience a lot more than new parents with singletons. Companies are starting to learn this, and will answer with said products. Smart entrepreneurs are learning this as well and creating their own stores as a solution to the needs of multiples and their families.
Yes, families with multiples are a specialized niche. However, they are no longer few and far between. These families need more products than the average family, and corporate America is going to step it up with producing multiples-specific products. After all, John and Kate aren't the only ones with a bunch of kids.

Thanks a lot... I need all of the blessings that I can get! The twins were Christened over the weekend, so God is most definitely smiling down upon our family.
