Twists Start off Survivor: Micronesia, Fans Vs. Favorites

Everybody's favorite show is back Survivor. This time it is one tribe of survivor fans vs. a tribe of favorites --survivor favorites from past seasons. It is of course still hosted by everyones favorite host Jeff Probst.

This survivor started with Jeff explain to the Fans that they would be playing against Favorites from past survivor seasons. They all seemed very excited that they would be playing with past survivors, they looked at these past survivors like they are celebrities. Jeff then brought out the Favorites one by one there was Cirie, Amanda, Ami, Eliza, James, Jonathon, Ozzy, Parvati, Yau Man, and everyones favorite person to hate Jon "fairplay" Dalton.

Then the tribes have to swim over to the island where they will get their boats and Jeff mentions a twist, there is a immunity idol over there for each tribe that Will only be able to be used the first time the tribe goes to tribal council. So they all take off swimming and searching for the idol. In some kind of weird reality the first person to find the idol was Jon Dalton, but what a big surprise he took the other tribes. So Yau-man and Jon got in a tussle over the idol for their tribe. Ready for another shocker... Yau-Man got the idol. Yau-man then told Kathleen from the other tribe to pick up the idol. So Yau-man and Kathleen each have immunity the first time their tribe goes to tribal.

The only thing I can assume is that the tribe of fans didn't do much interesting, because CBS showed us mainly what was happening on the tribe of favorites. On the tribe of Favorites they all seem to remember the inevitable of going to tribal council, so they immediately they start to scheme and strategize . Right away two alliances are formed, Ami, Eliza, Yau man, and Jonathon. And the other alliance is Parvati, Ozzy, James, and Amanda. Fairplay of course spent his time running between the two alliances telling secrets, and basically being fairplay. You might have noticed that I didn't mention Cirie, thats because she is basically missing, none of the other tribe members even mention her, they seem to have forgot she is even on their tribe. The old survivors all seem to fall back into their old roles, they know what they are good at so they keep it up. Parvati falls into her old role of flirting and begins to shamelessly flirt with James, and James is obviously loving the attention. I don't know maybe they are hoping for a love connection like Rob and Amber.

When is comes time for the immunity challenge the two tribes have to start out by putting wheels together. The fans are off to a good start, while the favorites act as if they have never done one of these challenge things before. They cant seem to put the wheels together, and they stay behind the other tribe the whole time in a quite uneventful immunity challenge. So Obviously the Fans win the immunity challenge. The good news is all the conniving of the favorites won't go to waste. When they get back to camp Fairplay continues to play both alliances,saying how worried he is about his baby and how he misses his Girlfriend. Parvati mentions to Fairplay that maybe he should tell everyone this and tell everyone that he wants to go home, that way they can vote for Eliza without her suspecting anything. Tribal council comes and everyone listens to Fairplay and votes him out. Which leaves all of us wondering did Jon Dalton grow a heart does he actually care more about the people at home then playing survivor, or was this just a scheme of his that went bad?

So as far as first episodes go this was pretty good. It left me wondering more about the tribe of Fans, we didn't find out much about them besides that they want to beat the favorites, and succeeded in doing so at least once. I am interested to see if the favorites step up and start to win some challenges or will they just spend their time potting against each other.
