Twitter Feed and Search Put Jobshout.Com Listings into the Social Networking World
A New Breed of Job Site, Jobshout.Com Takes Free and Premium Job Postings, Shares Via Twitter
An article in HR News Now notes that gaining attention in the busy world of Twitter can be an art, and HR departments must cultivate followings and understand how their target audience thinks. Tags, DM's, @'s and other Twitter features are key to reaching out and responding to potential hires, and a variety of tools are available to keep the 'tweets' coming and interesting, and keep folks tuned in.
Jobshout.com provides a focal point for Twitter users to follow, so that the HR department can just post listings and broadcast to an already waiting audience. Jobshout has said that they are actively protecting job seekers from spam and bogus ads, keeping a watch over who signs up to post new job listings.
Jobshout is connecting with networks like SimplyHired and Indeed to bring more premium listings into their service. According to their website, they are working to provide ways to target job listings to 'passive' job seekers in a way that will benefit companies and their potential employees. Since one of the biggest challenges of the employment process is making the connection between quality candidates and desirable jobs, Jobshout is implementing metrics to tune their process over time and provide a more effective connection.
Rather than the traditional and usually substantial fee charged by many 'job board' websites, Jobshout.com has free limited-duration ads similar to Craigslist. Revenue for the company will come from traditional website ads, premium ad packages and other enhanced features.
This month, Jobshout announced a plan for growth and development to claim their niche in the Twitter and Internet worlds. Adding new partners, the firm is building credibility which will, they hope, draw quality employers to their site to take advantage of free and premium ads and other offerings, and keep a steady stream of jobs tweeting out to waiting job seekers.
