Was Twitter down last night because Twitter hacked by the Iranian Cyber Army? The popular microblogging site Twitter was down at about 10 PM. It appeared Twitter was hacked by the Iranian Cyber Army when people visited the site.

The official Twitter blog gave no real details about why or who was responsible for Twitter down. Co-founder Biz Stone indicated on the blog, "As we tweeted a bit ago, Twitter's DNS records were temporarily compromised tonight but have now been fixed. We will update with more information and details once we've investigated more fully."

Apparently it appeared Twitter hacked because those who visited the Twitter site during the bewitching hour saw a pic of a green flag with red text above it reading "Iranian Cyber Army" and "This site has been hacked by Iranian Cyber Army".

Tech Crunch wonders if this this a response to alleged US interference in internal affairs after Twitter was used by protestors during the Presidential elections in the summer and offers additional info about Twitter hacked. How do you feel Twitter was down because Twitter got allegedly hacked by the "Iranian Cyber Army"?
