I thank all the people who have found a way to support the people of Iran by keeping internet proxy portals open to thwart the dictatorial regime from jamming the messages. Long live Twitter!

Justice said it well--people who have nothing, have nothing to lose.

Help us send the vital message today to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that we refuse to remain silent when authorities use bloody violence to crush dissent and deny Iranian citizens their freedom of speech and association.

The situation with Neda tore at my heart and it was a huge part of Twittering lately. Yes, Twitter can make a difference in getting people to learn about vital situations. It can be tricky to separate out real Tweets from false but it is worth the risk. So glad you covered this!

I agree with JLN below. If our government continues down the amazingly destructive path it is going, Americans will also have no choice but to fight back. The Iranian uprising is giving discouraged Americans the courage to do the same - if necessary.

If only Americans were courageous enough to take their country back as the Iranians are attempting to do; I guess the difference between them and us is simple; they have nothing left to lose! Hopefully, it won't take getting to that point before we stand up. I'll continue to keep the Iranian people in my thoughts and prayers.
