I've been a fan of Twix for as long as I can remember. In fact, it's one of my favorite candy bars. When I came across the Twix Coconut candy bar, I had to try it because I'm also a huge fan of coconut. Would this bar be as good as the previous Twix flavors or a bit disappointing?
When I bit into the Twix Coconut bar my mouth was flooded with coconut flavor. Flavor is the keyword here. I knew by the intensity of the flavor and lack of coconut texture that this was not real coconut. A closer look at the ingredient's list showed that there was no coconut to be found. I flipped the package over and discovered that under the word coconut, in very small print, it says "Artificial Flavors". While that does sound quite disappointing, the bar was actually delicious.
The coconut flavor blended beautifully with the creamy chocolate and rich caramel. While the flavor of coconut was powerful, it was still well balanced throughout the bar. I absolutely loved the flavor combination of this bar and could see myself buying this bar many, many times in the future.
One 1.79 ounce package of Twix Coconut has 250 calories, 13 grams of fat, 7 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans-fat, 5mg of cholesterol, 75mg of sodium, 32 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 25 grams of sugar, 2 grams of protein, 2% of your daily calcium and 4% of your daily iron. For my fellow Weight Watchers members that's a PointsPlus value of 7.
While I am highly disappointed that the bar didn't contain real coconut, I still love this bar and give it 5 out 5 stars. The flavor combination is unbelievable and even though the coconut flavor tastes artificial, it's still quite delicious. I highly recommend this bar to Twix fans and those that love the flavor of coconut. But, don't wait around too long because this is a limited edition flavor. Be sure to grab one before they're all gone. Personally, I may just grab a few extra to stash for later.

I have not tried the other ones.
I didn't know Twix made different flavors. I'll have to look for this.
