Something that everyone can use is oral hygiene supplies and a new brush and/or comb. Take a basket and fill it with the following:

Floss
Toothbrush(s) - Sometimes the dollar store will sell toothbrushes in two or three packs for a dollar.
Mouth Wash
Toothbrush Holder - You can choose a travel one or one that can site on the graduate's bathroom counter, whichever you feel would work best will do fine.

Everyone loves getting a gift basket of bathing supplies. They are really practical too because everyone has to bathe. Take a basket and fill it with the following:

Hand Soap - You could get liquid hand soap if you think that the graduate would enjoy that more than a bar of hand soap.
Soap Dish or Soap Dispenser - If you do decide to get a bar of hand soap then the soap dish that you pick should be big enough to hold the bar of soap that you bought and if you go with the liquid soap you can give them a dispenser to refill.
Body Wash - Once again you can do a bar of body soap if you think that the graduate would enjoy that more than liquid body wash.

Poof or Body Sponge - Sometimes you can find a six pack of poofs at the dollar store for only a dollar. If you think that a body sponge would a better choice for the graduate you will be able to find those for a dollar at the dollar store.
