Both the Plymouth Wildcats and the Canton Chiefs won their Sept. 17 games, making it a good start to the 2010 football season. Both schools posted amazingly high numbers on the scoreboards for their wins, with Plymouth scoring 41 points to Livonia Churchill's 27 and Canton racking up an impressive 53 points without letting Wayne Memorial score at all.

The Wildcats came back from a 14-14 tie at halftime to earn their win. Kyle Brindza, who has already chosen to play football at Notre Dame, was responsible for some of the tie-breaking plays, scoring two fields goals, while Canton's own Brennan Beyer, who will be taking his football playing skills to Michigan, helped Canton earn its victory.
