Two Bite Brownies Review

The Pen
A few years ago I was visiting with a friend when she offered me a couple of mini brownies by Two Bites. I ate them and got hooked and a few days later I bought a container for myself. I loved them and would purchase them several times throughout the year, but then my local grocery stopped carrying them, and I couldn't find them anywhere else.

But a couple of days ago I was doing some grocery shopping when I spotted the Two Bite Brownies. The store had never stopped carrying Two Bite, it turns out they'd just moved them to another aisle. Argh!

So I picked up a brown 2oz individual bag of the brownies. The individual bag contains 4 for $1. But the Two Bite Brownies are also still available in a larger container that holds at least 20 for $3.99.

The Two Bite snacks are made in Canada, the brand's brownies contain 190 calories, 90 of which are from fat. They also contain 11g of total fat, 4g of saturated fat, and 0g of trans fat. There are 20mg of cholesterol, 120mg of sodium, as well as 21g of carbohydrates, 0g of fiber, and 2g of protein.

The Two Bite brownies are unfrosted and are a rich dark brown almost black color. They are shaped like the bottom half of a cupcake, but they're about the size of a mini cupcake - they literally only take two bites to eat.

The brownies are baked in a home style way so they aren't like the typical mushy moist ones that are sold in stores. They have a much drier and firmer texture that reminds me of a thick coarse cake.

Although I enjoy brownies that are soft and gooey, I also really like the Two Bite version because they aren't super sweet. Even though they're small and a bit drier than other brownies, they are dense and rich so they're very satisfying to eat. .

They just have a wholesome, smooth and rich cocoa flavor that's amazing and they remind me of the thick and comforting homemade brownies that my mom used to make.

In the End...

If you're want a sugary sweet brownie with frosting, nuts, and the works than these probably won't be your thing. But if you're looking for a plain but rich and flavorful brownie I'd recommend the Two Bites. I think they're delicious and they definitely hit the spot when I'm craving chocolate. I give them 4 out of 5 stars.
