Two Chowder Houses on the South Coast of Massachusetts

Chowder Never Tasted This Good!

I was very impressed with the overall service. The food just couldn't be beat. I ordered the famous chowder. There was nothing better tasting than the chowder. I was dining with such great company. What a difference dining with people that I care about makes. The restrooms were clean. The vibe of the restaurant made the eating experience for me and my family indeed very pleasant. There was plenty of parking for two cars. This restaurant unfortunately isn't accessible by public transportation. I'm not quite sure if the SRTA (Southeastern Regional Transit Authority) serves the road that this particular restaurant is situated on. I can remember, back when I was living on the south coast, the buses traveling as far as the center of Mattapoisett, MA. Our waitress was very pleasant. There weren't a lot of low carb choices on the menu. This made it harder for two of my family members and I to choose what we wanted on the menu. The family member to my right just chose a salad and my other family member also ordered a salad. I ordered, like I stated, the best tasting chowder in the world. I would not order chowder everyday. Chowder, once in a great while, is a scrumptious treat (Especially At Mattapoisett Chowder House In Mattapoisett, MA). The food is definitely cooked to perfection. It is cooked just the way any customer would would want their food to be cooked. No customer has ever complained here at this restaurant. Customers like the food hot and fresh. One of my family members' fries were not too fresh, but all the other food was indeed served at our table to our liking. There was just no complaining at this restaurant. We even met a retired teacher, at this particular chowder house, who taught both of my brothers when they were teenagers in high school. She was real happy to see us. My family took pictures of each other at the end of our meal. One waitress was real kind enough to take a picture of our whole family. We all enjoyed each other's company immensely. It's really great to be with family in such a lovely restaurant. It's great to be with family anywhere I go. My family means so much to me. We have so many great times when we're all together. I hate being alone. The sense of community in family is what makes all of us very strong. We're all a very close knit family. This is what keeps us so close in spirit when we're not actually physically together all the time.

The Fairhaven Chowder House: Good Home Cooked Seafood

There's no seafood around like this seafood.

I almost got this restaurant (The Mattapoisett Chowder House In Mattapoisett, MA) confused with another chowder house (The Fairhaven Chowder House In Fairhaven, MA). This other particular chowder house was not as good as the other restaurant I'm reviewing in this article, but I do remember this other chowder house quite well. This chowder house almost looked like (and kind of reminded me of) a diner. I didn't think the food was too bad at this other chowder house. There was no better company than the company who I dined with at this particular restaurant. It was just great to be with my immediate family. I can remember ordering a lobster roll. This was some years back. It was a real fun place to eat. This chowder house is off of the main road that the other restaurant (I also reviewed in this article) is situated on quite a ways eastward further down. The atmosphere in this restaurant was cozy - a little too cozy for comfort. My whole family really enjoyed their meal here immensely.

These two restaurants are in two totally different communities. Both chowder houses are known all around (throughout the whole south coast) for good quality seafood that money can ever buy. Being with family is the best part, I think, about coming to these two chowder houses. Just being with people we truly care about is really what makes dining at these two restaurants a great experience overall. I have no regrets whatsoever about coming to these two eateries with people who I have always shared (& will always share) all my common bonds with. It really is a great feeling to be surrounded by people I love (& truly care about).
