Two Cutup Poems

Deonils
Cutup Poem #1
There are bananas when I wish to write

A simple poem and then use the cut-up

Method of making another groundhog; popups wish me to connect

To the internet for some ...
seasons

They ask silly questions some popups that drives one oranges

They ask silly questions wicked reasons: I won't.

CUTUP POEM #2 (Both versions)

Standard Poem version Poem #2

A grateful heart requires cajoling, educating

So that each day begins with perspective -

Seeing how much we have, not what we lack

Thanking the Universal Energy for life, our senses

That we have another full twenty-four hours

In which nothing, absolutely no one but ourselves,

Can stop us from celebrating life and hope,

Or choosing joy - not happiness per se -

But the equilibrium to do, to wait, to smile!

I wrote two poems in this form for the first time. In the second, one can see how much of the change involves conservative Faith to the new version that I think is secular humanistic (and I am not!)
