Two Exercise Principles that Go a Long Way

If you are going to devote a lot of hard work and energy into a workout, at least make sure that it is not in vain. By this I mean make the most efficient use of your time in the gym. Do not stick to methods that are subpar and deliver mediocre results. You are fully capable of attaining whatever body that you want, and mediocre does not cut it for you. Thankfully, I'm going to outline a few tips to take with you to the gym. Just these two tips alone will help you to burn thousands of additional calories at a fraction of the gym time. Are you ready?

I thought so. The first tip that you should know is that short and intense workouts are superior to long and boring ones. Distance running eats up a lot of carbohydrates and glycogen reserves. However, your body will put that weight back on very easily. With short, intense workouts, you will jump start what ultimately causes people to lose weight and that is the metabolism. The difference between these long workouts and fast ones is that the long workouts burn calories only while you are exercising. When you stop, so does the burning. But with the short, intense ones, when you stop exercising, your metabolism has gone turbo-charged for the rest of the day! Thus ultimately burning more calories, - more specifically fat calories.

Let's take an example of a long workout and show what a more effective one would be. Long distance jogging can take let's say 30 minutes to do one session. If you want to burn more fat, then you should sprint for 10 seconds and walk for the next 50 of that minute. Do this for 10 minutes and 3-5 times a week. You are working out 1/3 less and you will have many times the results. If you can do this then you will start losing weight fast!

The second tip is to focus on doing exercises that you stand while performing rather than sitting or lying down. I'll start by addressing that sitting or lying is unnatural for your body to do. Our bodies are use to exercises that require our body to operate as a unit. This makes for more efficient weight loss and a more balanced physique. Beyond that, standing up while exercising will improve your core strength and amplify your stability muscles' strength.

These two principles will help you to deliver astonishing results in a fraction of the time. I want you to love the way that you look and enjoy the beauty that you should radiate with. Take these tips with you every time that you enter the gym. You will not regret it.
