Two Free Software Programs for Converting Media Files
1. Movavi Video Converter:
With only about 15 MB of your system resource, Movavi Video Converter 5.3 is a shareware that is compatible in all version of operating systems. You can download it here.
The first thing you should do after downloading and activating Movavi Video is to click "Download" section. You will see the recommended list of programs you should have like Quick Time, DivX Codec, Enhance Movie... Movavi Video Converter has already set up automatic link for these programs. You just need to click it to go to the official website and follow the instruction.
To access all the features of Movavi Video Converter, you have to click "Video" or "DVD" to add file to "Source File" section. Click "delete" to remove the file you don't want in "Source File". On the right side, you can review the video before changing it. On the life side, you will see three different tabs: Favorites, Devices and Advanced.
Favorites Tab: where you put all of files you usually use for your convenient in the future.
Devices Tab: where you can covert your video file from PC to your digital player or your cell phone. In this tab, there are different video types for different digital player. For example, with Apple, you have four output formats: iPod (320x240), iPod 5G (640x480), Apple TV and Audio Only Apple TV. The file size will depend on what kind of digital player you possess.
Advanced: used to convert common file like AVI, MPG, 3GP, WMV, Quicktime... You can also set the output file as sound file like WMA, MP3, WAV.
Click "Output directory" to locate where you want to save your output files. You can also mark or unmark "Same as input directory" and "Overwrite existing files". To open the saved folder after the process is done, mark "Show Output directory when done". After setting up all properties you want, click "Convert" or "Join" to start the changing process.
Movavi Video Converter helps you converting all video files. I found the process of putting my favorite video into my cell phone is much easier and faster.

Free Video to Mp3 Converter is about 3.15 MB of your system resource. It is compatible with Windows 9x, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. You can download free version here.
The main function of this program is to convert any multimedia file to Mp3. It supports almost every common file type like: avi, mpg, mpeg, wmv, asf, mov, qt, 3gp, 3g2, flv, swf.... With a simple appearance, Free Video to MP3 Converter is very easy to use. At first, you have to locate the directory of input files and output files. Click "Presets" to adjust the quality of files. Finally, click "Convert" to start the converting process.
The special function of this software is it allows you to convert Youtube files online. You only have to copy and paste in Youtube link in "Youtube URL containing video" section.
These two software do not cost you any penny. It is very useful to convert media files into your media player or cell phone.
