"Two and a Half Men:" Charlie Harper's Main Women

Throughout the 8 seasons of the CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men" (Mondays 9 pm ET), easy going swinging bachelor Charlie Harper (starring Charlie Sheen playing Charlie Sheen) has been with a lot of women. How many women? If you were to lay every woman who made a guest appearance on "Two and a Half Men," it would cost you $35,33,139. And Charlie Sheen would lay them twice.

But there has always been a few women who consistently stand by Charlie despite all the one-night stands, failed relationships, failed engagements, affairs, and paid hookers. Sometimes it is out of psychological insanity. Sometimes it is out of financial obligation. And occasionally it may be out of a bizarre form of love.

Rose: Though she has not showed up much in the recent season, Charlie's neighbor Rose has been the voice of reason through most of Charlie's relationships even if she herself is a little unhinged as she stalks him. Since their one night stand, she has always been by his side whether he knows it or not. It's a bizarre love but one that even Charlie reciprocates-especially when he suddenly misses her. He proposed to her when he thought he was dying and even followed her to England just to make sure she was there. Her "marriage" to Manny Quinn may have offset Charlie a bit. But in the end, these two may just be crazy enough to be a good match for each other.

Berta: The two may be best friends even if they insult each other at any opportunity. She is one of the few women Charlie will never hit on; most likely out of fear. Even if she has a blunt and sarcastic manner around her employer, Berta still manages to take care of Charlie's housekeeping. Charlie does turn to her for advice, which is great since she knows a lot about what happens during Charlie's many screwed up things going on in his life. With all the cleaning and cooking that she does, Berta may just be the mother Charlie never had. She even stands up to Charlie's mother because...

Evelyn: Dubbed "The Unholy Mother of [Alan and Charlie]," she is conceited and self-centered. Her mind games often put Charlie and Alan under her tight hold. They try to avoid her like death itself. But even the Harper boys know that when things go wrong with women, Mother will always set things right. This was aptly demonstrated in the second episode of the seventh season "Whipped Unto the Third Generation" when Alan's and Charlie's girlfriends take over the house and one call to Evelyn was all it took. "The balance of power has been restored," as she confirms her handiwork.
