Two Men Arrested After Stealing Copper Pipes from Two Ferndale Homes

Jeremy Menifield and Andrew Davis are both from Detroit, both 22-years old, and both were arrested for stealing copper piping from vacant homes. The pair were arrested by Beverly Hills Police after an officer spotted their backseat, which was full of cut off copper pipes. Also in their vehicle, police found a list of vacant homes, two of which are located in Ferndale.

Upon being notified, Ferndale police investigated the two vacant homes and found that all of the copper piping had been stolen. Also on the list were other homes in Royal Oak and Grosse Pointe Woods. The two men were charged with two counts of breaking and entering in Ferndale's 43rd District Court and were jailed on $10,000 cash bond. The charges could result in up to 10 years in prison.
