Two More Little Poems About a Big God

Shirley A Mandel
I Sit In The Shadow

I sit in the shadow
of God's Word.
I take my rest
like the humming birds rest
in the shadow of a flower.
They break from the labor
of just being birds,
but I sit in the cool
of God's Word.

In Due Time

God's will
for you
is like a little yellow flower
hiding in a green bud.
Sunlight opens it
petal by petal
before your eyes
in due time.

Amazing praise again Shirley. Your so good at such poetry that you must have more talent in your fingertip than I do in all my body. Briliant and so inspiring.

Lovely. Our God is indeed an almighty God, maker of heaven and earth, ruler of kings, and deliver of those with a humble heart. You are blessed to be able to write such sound words concerning his comforts, Shirley.
