It was after our Mother died we became so sad.
She used to want to be like me, or so she said-
I even had her over after my hubby and I had wed!
She wasn't just my sister, she was also my friend,
It was so terrible-when it all had to end.
~
It will never be the same as sad as it sounds,
Thinking about it just makes me frown.
We had so much when we were together,
And nothing mattered to us, not even the weather!
There is an empty spot inside of my heart,
It was for my sister from the very start.
~
We no longer know one another anymore,
Because we once made each other sore.
So now we sit and think about one another,
Both of us wishing we still had our Mother.
If she were alive today she would fix this,
And then there would be nothing for us to miss!

Post a CommentHow very sad for you. I too hope you and your sister can find a way to talk to one another without your mom's assistance.
awwww, how sad. I hope you and your sis can reconcile one day. Great poem - very heartfelt. You and your sis are in my prayers. :-)
