Two Suspects Arrested in Disappearance of Shreveport 12 Year Old Amber White
Police Are Still Looking for Missing Child
Nineteen year old Brandon Player was arrested first on a single charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Player has a previous April 2010 arrest for possession of marijuana and had been released on bond. Sgt. Bill Goodin of the Shreveport Louisiana Police Department says authorities are treating it as a kidnapping, and have filed kidnapping charges against the second suspect.
That second suspect, 25 year old Henry E. Lee, was arrested today and was charged with aggravated kidnapping. Police have not offered information on the lesser charges filed in the case of Player but the Shreveport Times reports that Lee was the driver of the 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Lee was identified as the driver by two witnesses, according to the Shreveport Times.
Authorities are still looking for 12 year old Amber, who was last seen at 3 p.m. near her home just before she set off for a neighborhood swimming pool. Her parents called police when she didn't return later that day.
Police are hoping for additional Crime Stopper tips into the disappearance and are asking people who may have knowledge of the child's disappearance to call Shreveport Police Detective Lindsey Bonner at 1-318-673-7020 or Crime Stoppers at 1-318-673-7373.
