Two Suspects in Custody for Disappearence of Madeline McCann
French authorities, according to Fox News, had issued an International Arrest Warrant for the unidentified man. The arrest warrant had nothing to do with the Madeline McCann case; however officials are not giving what had occurred to cause them to suspect the man. The Portuguese woman was detained due to her association with the man, but has no warrant for her arrest at this time. The pair are being detained in Sotogrande, located on the coast of Spain.
FoxNews.com is saying that one of the largest newspapers in Spain is reporting on their site for El Pais that the man is believed to be a person who had demanded a ransom from Madeline McCann's parents just for information on her location.
Reports are, according to Fox, that authorities had executed a search warrant on the man's home around 5 a.m. in Spain. They were looking for evidence dealing with a child sex abuse case.
When confronted for comment, FoxNews.com says that Madeline's parents in England issued the following statement: "We have no comment to make, because we know no more than we have seen on the news." Another family member identified as Madeline's uncle named Brian Kennedy is being quoted as saying "We are trying not to get our hopes up too much because they so frequently get dashed."
Police had originally said that they had a suspect but had not made any type of arrest in connection with this case, until Thursday. FoxNews.com says that over a month ago Portuguese authorities had issued statements to the effect of they were looking for a white male between the ages of 35 and 40. They said according to Fox that the man was seen around the hotel where Madeline disappeared and that he may have been seen wearing beige pants, and a dark jacket while carrying the young girl.
There has been a high interest in this case, to the point of celebrities stepping forward and making donations to the family in their International search for their daughter. The hope is that with all the tips received in the last couple of months, and with the high level of attention the case is receiving that Madeline will be found soon.

ooohhh how this whole story just makes my stomach sick. I can't even imagine how those parents manage to awake every single day not knowing if there baby girl is crying out for them, cold, hungry, or being abused somewhere. After this long I pray God has taken Maddy so she is not suffering somewhere, And to the person or people responsible for her disapperance there is a nice place waiting for you.....HELL

This is a very sad situation and I feel so sorry for the parents that have to suffer nasty comments about them on top of their daughter missing. Everyone should just say a prayer for the entire family and hope that Maddie is returned to her parents safe and sound.
I hope that little Madeline is found. May God be with her where ever she may be. I don't want to comment on the parents, what's done is done. I have three children and I don't know what my reaction would be if something like this were to happen to any of them. All of us make decisions in life that later we regret. Madeline's parents are feeling this pain that will last them a lifetime. I don't only pray for Madeline. I pray for every child in this world that is suffering from abuse, neglect, hunger, and the children that are being kidnapped every day.
