Two-Ingredient Chicken, Pork Easy Recipes

Tara Lynn Gansrich
I love simple recipes, and with a family and a full time job, I'm sure you'd love to come home and whip up a quick and easy meal with out a lot of ingredients! Because time is everything when you have a family, and you have things to do around the house, and have to somehow still make time for your family after work - these two ingredient recipes are for you! Here I have compiled a few recipes I'd like to share that I have made, tried, and recommend for you and your loved ones! Here are my favorite two ingredient recipes for chicken and pork!

Chinese Pork Ribs with Soy Sauce & Coca Cola

Sounds weird, right? Coke - yes Coca Cola. I give all the credit to this website that can be found here: The Wandering Chopsticks Blog. For the meat, all you need is a pack of pork ribs (the small ones work the best, which can be found in any Asian supermarket). Soy sauce is a staple in my house, and so is the soda! To make this dish, you simply boil your ribs, skim the surface of scum, then drain and transfer the pork ribs to a skillet. Add some Coke and soy sauce, simmer until cooked and you have yourself some fabulous, tender soy and Coke pork ribs!

The Easiest Blackened Chicken

I actually just made this tonight, hence me writing this article. Let me tell you, for how simple and easy it was, even my toddler liked it! I reduced the pepper a bit, and used fresh ground pepper instead. I sprinkled the pepper all over chicken tender strips first, sauteed until browned, then added the Worcestershire sauce and simmered for about 20 minutes. Serve over some white rice, deliciousness! The recipe for the chicken can be found here.

Italian Marinated Chicken

One of the easiest and versatile recipes that I love. All you need is boneless and skinless chicken breasts, and some Italian dressing (I prefer Kraft or Wishbone.) Marinade the chicken overnight, throw in a glass dish without the extra dressing and bake, the chicken is also fabulous grilled. I sometimes even add a bit of barbecue sauce for some tang. These chicken breasts taste great alone, or even on some toasted ciabatta bread with lettuce and tomato!

Mayo Chicken

I found this simple and oh-so-easy recipe on the back of the Hellman's Mayonnaise jar, and I've probably made my family sick of the chicken I make it so much. I season any boneless and skinless chicken pieces, than all you have to do is slather the chicken with mayonnaise, than dip and cover in some bread crumbs - I prefer the Italian style bread crumbs. Throw in a glass dish, and bake! Very quick and tasty!

Slow Cooker Pork & Applesauce

It's as simple as it sounds, my Aunt makes this sometimes and it is totally easy and delicious! Perfect to make before you go to work, not only will you come home to a delicious meal that only needs some sides, but the house will smell wonderful! I like to brown my pork loin before adding it the Crockpot, and season it of course. You than just add apple sauce (about 2-3 cups, depending on how big your pork loin is), and the pork loin to your slow cooker, and than turn on low and cook all day (4-5 hours) until done and tender! So sweet and good! I like to serve with extra, cold applesauce on the side and steamed vegetables.

So there you have, some easy, tested and tried pork and chicken recipes! Perfect for busy families, and for families on a budget when it comes to preparing quick, easy and yummy meals!
