Tye Dye Easter Egg

Susan Antonelli
An Easter egg went rolling by

The busy old Farmer said "Oh My!"

This thing is oval and under a chicken

But it's not the ordinary egg I'd be pickin"

This multi colored masterpiece

Gave his eyes quite a feast.

A tye dye egg it was for sure

Many colors bright and pure.

Blue, red, purple, pink and green

The wildest Easter egg he'd seen.

What child would not be pleased as punch

To see this egg among the bunch.

An Easter Egg hunt surpassed by none

With tye dye eggs? Well, gosh what fun!

But wait, what if he let it hatch

Would the baby chick be a match.

Would it come out in colors many

And be a special little henny?

Who'd make more eggs that had this look?

Well, that would be one for the book.

So farmer took this egg and ran

Far away from a frying pan.

He put it in a special nest

Cause this one egg would be the best.

Sure enough, in another week

The farmer took a little peek.

What popped out but a tye dye Bunny

One sure thing, it was worth big money!

Tye Dye Bunny went on TV

All the children wanted to see.

And you now just how bunnies are

Soon there were bunnies near and far.

Bunnies with swirls of green, blue and pink

This sure made everyone really think.

Lets put them all together and what to you get?

The best, most colorful Easter yet!
