Have you ever asked yourself this question? If you have, you're not alone. Tyler Perry's fourth film is soon to be released, Oct. 12, 2007.
Tyler Perry's, Why Did I Get Married features Tyler Perry behind the camera, something he hasn't done since Madea's Family Reunion, and tells the story of four married couples who spend a revealing time in the mountains (seven days). When they discover that one of their friends is committing adultery, they all look closely at their own marriages. With a modern day look at relationships, infidelity, and the qualities needed to build a strong, durable, relationship, the film causes each of us to look at our lives and hopefully answer the question, "Why Did I Get Married?"
The scenario is reminiscent of the great playwright, Neil Simon, and Tyler Perry has undoubtedly earned his place as a true American playwright. In fact, "Why Did I Get Married", first debuted as a play by the same name.
Tyler Perry won't be in drag in this film, however he is one of the starring actors and you will be delighted with his performance. In addition to Tyler Perry, there is a wonderful ensemble of actors and actresses who join him on the screen, notably Janet Jackson. Personally, Janet Jackson has been endeared to my heart since I first saw her performances as a child on Good Times, her acting career has been coupled with her music career, however it seems that she has a winner with this film.
The cast includes:
Tyler Perry
Janet Jackson
Jill Scott
Denise Boutte
Richard T. Jones
Sharon Leal
Tasha Smith
Michael Jai White
Malik Yoba

About Tyler Perry:
Tyler Perry was born on September 13th, 1969. He is originally from New Orleans and first came onto the scene when he wrote his journal and developed it into a musical entitled, "I Know I've Been Changed." That was a long journey for Tyler Perry, and his dedication to his dream and pursuit has endeared him to the hearts of many Americans.
After the play was successful, he followed with a play and movie based upon the best selling novel by T.D. Jakes, "Woman, Thou art Loosed." The movie was released in 2004, and Tyler Perry became a household name.
