Before I tell you what are the types of malignant mesothelioma cancer, I should tell you first what is mesothelioma and how it can develop in the body. The meothelioma cancer is a rare and the least common type of cancer that can develop in some places in the human body. The types of mesothelioma can be classified according to the place of tumor, when the tumor is in the pleura the case should be diagnosed as pleural mesothelioma, when the tumor can be observed in the peritoneum the case should be diagnosed as peritoneal mesothelioma. And the third type of mesothelioma is the pericardial mesothelioma in which the tumor can be observed in the pericardium.

Mesothelioma Types

The pleural mesothelioma is the most common type of that cancer, the most of recorded mesothelioma cases were diagnosed as pleural mesothelioma cases. When the tumor can be revealed in the pleura "the lining of lungs", this case is the cancer of pleura which show some symptoms like shortness of breath, general weakness and pleural fluid effusion.

The peritoneal mesothelioma is another dangerous type of mesothelioma, in this type the tumor can be revealed in the outer lining of internal organs of the abdomen. Although this type is less common than pleural mesothelioma, it still very dangerous and has very hard ways of diagnosis and treatment.

The pericardial mesothelioma is the third type of mesothelioma, this is the cancer of the pericardium "the sac of heart", this type is also very dangerous and is too hard to be diagnosed and treated. This is the least common type of mesothelioma, there are only some thousands of pericardial mesothelioma were discovered.

The all causes of mesothelioma are not discovered yet, but the main cause of malignant mesothelioma cancer is the Asbestos materials. These materials was and are using in some manufacturing fields such as textile and cement fields. These Asbestos can reach the mesothelial cells and push it to multiply abnormally producing malignant tumor after a very long time may reach 35 years for the tumor to complete its growth then the symptoms will be observed.

The diagnosis of mesothelioma should be achieved early to can succeed in the treatment, the diagnosis can be achieved by using radiations like x-rays to reveal the fluid effusion or by using CT scans. There are many options to get mesothelioma diagnosed like the surgery option.

The treatment option can be chemotherapy, radiotherapy and the surgery option would be the most effective option.
