Wearing a wedding veil holds overly romantic significance to every bride. It is initially worn to keep the groom from seeing his lovely bride's face before the ceremony. Wedding veils has different specific length that varies on every bride's independent height and size. There are veils that are named according to its lengths such as shoulder veils, elbow veils, fingertips veils and knee veils. Besides these veils, here are the different types of wedding veils that you can choose from.

CathedralVeils

A cathedral wedding veil is a floor-length veil that is usually kept for very formal weddings, typically held in a church.

Birdcage Veil

This veil is very short just long enough to border the face and worn alone. The birdcage is made of coarse French or Russian-style netting or typical fine-mesh veil fabrics.

Blusher Veil

Blusher veils are very short in length and made with only one sheet of material. This veil falls just below the chin and can be worn in any style of dress.

Bouffant

This veil is very popular in 1960's and is very short in length. Bouffant veil suits a simple gown or a bride with short haircut. This is a shoulder length type of veil.Royal

This is the most majestic of all veils in 180 inches length. This veil is quite expensive so most bride do not choose this kind of veil. Waltz

This is a very stylish and attractive veil as its length touches the floor. The length of this veil is perfectly determined by the length of the gown.

Flyaway Veil

The flyaway veil is less reserved than cathedral and waltz veils and is made from quite a few sheets of material. The veil falls to the shoulder blades.

Mantilla Veil

The mantilla veils have a round shape and rest on top of the head. The exterior edges of the veil are covered with lace that surrounds the face.

Russian/ Fishnet Veil

The russian veil or sometimes called the fishnet veil is a short veil typically attached to a pretty hairpiece. The veil falls unevenly across the face and is made from a single sheet of material. The russian veils look elegant with short dresses.

When choosing your wedding veil, it is essential that you try your wedding veil on while wearing your wedding dress. Your wedding veil should always complement your wedding gown.

I just love to discuss things that help brides. I am not really a wedding planner or anything like that but I want to help. My favourite veils are birdcage veils. But when you choose wedding veils, try thinking about current wedding trends and your personality working together.
