Who doesn't need a few easy to cook dinner items in their freezer? When time is just not at a premium and there are several hungry mouths to feed before rushing off to the next scheduled activity, Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Breast Fillets can certainly be a great item to have on hand.
A twenty two ounce freezer bag of this chicken costs around eight dollars. Each package contains about six nice sized breasts. Considering the ever rising cost of food, and the fact that this frozen meat can go from freezer to table in less than thirty minutes, I am of the opinion that this is an excellent price. Add in the fact that this product can be garnished individually to please even the pickiest eaters and I am definitely more than willing to pay this price.
Preparation of this product is extremely quick and simple and can be adequately completed by even the youngest of cooks. After heating a traditional oven to four hundred and twenty five degrees, the desired number of chicken breasts are placed directly from the freezer onto a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. The meat is then cooked for a total of eighteen to twenty minutes and allowed to stand for a minute or two before serving. The lack of thawing time does not adversely affect the flavor or tenderness of the meat in the slightest. The package directs state that this product can also be cooked in the microwave. I would not recommend this cooking method, however, as I do believe the quality and flavor would be compromised.
One breast fillet contains only one hundred and ten calories. There is one point five grams of Fat, with no Saturated or Trans Fat. There is sixty milligrams of Cholesterol per serving, as well as two hundred and thirty milligrams of Sodium. One gram of Total Carbohydrate is gained from a single serving, as well as twenty four grams of Protein. This large amount of Protein represents forty eight percent of the daily recommended value.
I would definitely give Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Breast Fillets a full five star food rating. I love the price, ease in preparation and nutritional value. Jazzing up the meat with cheese, lettuce, tomato and even a little bacon gives it some extra zing and adds to the flavor. The breasts alone are very succulent and juicy and go perfectly with a side of salad and potatoes. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a quick and tasty dinner that doesn't break the bank or the diet.
