It was announced today that U2 will kick off the second North American leg of the U2 360 Tour on June 3, 2010 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. Tickets for the show will go on sale February 22 at 10 a.m.

The tour, which supports U2's current album "No Line on the Horizon," played a first North American leg that began on September 12, 2009 at Chicago's Soldier Field. The Irish band played over 20 North American dates throughout September and October, wrapping up in Vancouver, BC, on October 28. Two days earlier, vocalist Bono, guitarist The Edge, bassist Adam Clayton and drummer/founder Larry Mullen, Jr. filled the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, for a gargantuan show that drew a record-breaking 95,000 fans. The concert, which was streamed live on YouTube, is expected to be released to DVD before the close of 2010.

Throughout the tour, the first leg of which was a series of European dates beginning last June 29 in Barcelona, Spain, the stage featured a cylindrical video system of interlocking LED panels and a steel structure rising 150 feet from the floor (dubbed by the band as "The Spaceship" or "The Claw") over a huge circular stage with rotating bridges. The same setup is expected for the subsequent North American dates and a final leg in Europe, which will begin this year in August and conclude in October.

Fans who thought the band had already announced where and when the next round of dates would begin weren't mistaken: U2 had previously announced that the next leg of the U2 360 Tour would commence on June 6 at the Angels Stadium of Anaheim venue in Southern California. That show is now the second stop on the band's upcoming trek across the U.S.

Tickets for the U2 360 Tour are based on a sliding scale, with 85 percent of the tickets priced at or less than $95.

Brook! I had no idea you were writing here again...during an AC glitch, I discovered I had become "unsubsribed" from many people.
