Ubuntu--the New Age Operating System

You have paid a lot of bucks for buying original operating system for your machine. Here is a free one-yes, it is not a joke. It is a virtual reality that you need to acknowledge and start using.

Microsoft will be suffering a huge loss from this adventure. It is clear that Microsoft launched Vista so as to steer itself ahead from LINUX that has over the years brought a potential threat to the popularity of earlier versions of Windows. However, with the advent of Ubuntu and perhaps more simialr efforts from some other communities could turn the tide on.

Piracy of software and Windows specially was a widely-spread virus that Microsoft always wanted to curb on. There were many programmes launched by it to track the pirated software-users through internet IP and the likes. Some people even got notices on their computers that their Windows are pirated and they should buy a new original one-this message came when they were connected to the Internet and their pirated Windows were updated.

However, as Ubuntu is free and there are almost all the features that a consumer or even a small-scale businessman would require, there is a possibility of users switching to Ubuntu and leaving behind the use of Windows.

Indeed, some of the initial users of Ubuntu have hailed the discovery of this open-source operating system and they say that they won't use Windows from now on. Surely, there are some bugs and problems with Ubuntu, but over the years it would come around like Windows were upgraded version after version.

So overall, it would be hugely beneficial for the users, as it is totally free and you save almost around $250 for this operating system. So, Microsoft got a new challenge and now they will have to do something in order to reply to it.
