UCLA Victory Over Kansas State At the Rose Bowl

What a game last night?! Final score 23-9 at the Rose Bowl in Pasedena, CA .The Bruins victory over Kansas State gave them a 3-0 record. What a great start considering that USC was handed an upset by Washington, a team that had no wins last year. Every Bruin out there is celebrating and boy, does it feel good.

With UCLA QB Prince out with a broken jaw and probably unavailable for 2-3 weeks UCLA went their next option, last year's QB Craft. Craft had a season of 4-8 and 20 interceptions last year. Also out were 4 other players, DB Viney, TB Knox, WR Persley and Carroll.

UCLA's team might be young and our QB might have not been our first choice but, Craft stepped up to the plate and showed us what a true leader he could be. Our young team brought a passion and aggressiveness to the game that hadn't been seen in a long time. The Bruins played with tremendous heart and won. There is no stopping them.

Franklin made the first Bruin touchdown in the first quarter and set the pace of the game. He rushed for a career high of 119 yards. Forbath hit 3 field goals, his third being from 40 yards out. Craft's 51-yard pass to Austin for a score with 6:18 left, cinched the Bruins win and sent Kansas to its grave.

There's a new undefeated team in LaLa Land and there are no horses or funny hats involved. Just a huge ferocius bear ready to strike and waiting to show its strength at its next confrontation
