UCONN Huskies Spring Game at Rentschler Field April, 17th

The UCONN Huskies will host their spring football game on, April 17th, at Rentschler field in East Hartford, CT. The game will begin at 12 PM, and is free to the public, along with free parking. This is the first chance Huskies fans will have, to see the 2010 UCONN football team. After a good 2009 season, which ended with a victory over South Carolina in the Papajohns.com Bowl, fans are looking forward to the upcoming season. There's reason to be optimistic with returning players, Zach Frazer, Jordan Todman, and receivers Moore, and Smith. Though there are a good number of players returning, UCONN did suffer some big losses. Lindsey Witten, Marcus Easley, and Andre Dixon are all headed to the NFL.

In order to improve over their eight win season last year, the Huskies will need adequate replacements for the players they lost. For the new players, and the UCONN team, the path to improvement starts on Tuesday, with spring practice.

"We have a lot of things to work on this spring both offensively and defensively as well as special teams," coach Randy Edsall said. "We're looking forward to getting going and hopefully we can keep everybody healthy through
the spring."

The Huskies will look to return to another bowl game in 2010, and continue to build on the success the program has enjoyed. Come see the journey from the beginning, at the annual blue vs. white, spring game.
