Through halftime it looked like there were going to be some upsets on the very first day of the 2007-2008 UEFA Champions League. While these upsets did not happen, several big teams did fail to get the full three points and had to settle for ties. These teams included Chelsea, Real Madrid and Liverpool.
Because of these ties these teams will now have to work harder to secure their spots in the 16-team knockout stage.
