UFC 133 Entrance Songs: Rashad Evans

What Did the Contender Come Out To?

Nick Meyer
The UFC 133 event in Philadelphia is over and Rashad Evans, who came out to a new entrance song for his fight with Tito Ortiz, emerged victorious.

Evans ended up winning by TKO over Ortiz, and the song he came out to has also drawn some attention. Evans is known for wide-ranging tastes in walkout music including lesser known rap artists, well known ones, and vintage ones as well.

For UFC 133, Evans came out to the song "Victory" by Notorious BIG & Puff Daddy ft. Busta Rhymes. It's a dramatic, dark, businesslike classic hip hop song that is very suitable for a big-time fight.

Some other fighters have used the song before but not likely in an event as high profile as the UFC main event on August 6, 2011. Evans' intensity from the song transferred to the fight as he battered Ortiz with a flurry of strikes, a slam, and later a knee to the solar plexus while Ortiz was on his knees near the cage.

Next up for Evans is a match with the light heavyweight title winner, either Jon Jones or Rampage Jackson.

No telling on whether or not Rashad will use the same entrance song he did at UFC 133 but he does like to mix it up a lot.
