So let me start out by stating that I am an avid MMA fan. I have been following UFC since its first tournament! This game does a great job capturing the raw essence of MMA fighting. While playing, if your getting pummeled on your feet, take it to the ground, if your getting owned on the ground take it back to the feet. Every knockout feels new and always satisfying.

My favorite part of the game is multi-player all though I ran into some problems there because of the rating system and the way that people can cheat it. My first fight on-line as soon as I won the game, froze and a message appeared saying there was a connection problem and that the fight would not count. What happens a lot is as soon as you either knockout your opponent or tap them out, they shut off the game and cut off their connection. This means that if your like me, you take your losses and don't collect your wins all the time. So I end up with say 70 something wins and 100 something losses. If it counted all of my wins (especially the ones where the game was shut off) My on-line stats would be a lot better.Looking past that problem which I hope the developers or XboxLive fixes, the overall experience is great. You can chat with the person your playing against which isn't always pleasant but for the most part adds to the experience. I love it when I'm playing against somebody that starts off by saying how there going to kick my butt, yet ends up stretched out on the canvas bleeding from there head at the end with my hand being raised!

The career mode doesn't disappoint either, playing the computer is just as challenging as playing a human player on-line. In fact it's at times almost too hard! You have to balance your time well while playing out your career. You will be given the option to appear for photo shoots and other activities throughout your career, although you don't have to accept, it does help to generate a fan base. Training is of the up most importance, and balancing your time training and appearing for shoots. Once your character has built up enough skills you can play with him on-line and let me tell you this is a lot of fun! Seeing the character you created beating the snot out of "the pro's" is great! So go out there, pick this game up, create your player and get to climbing the leader boards and claiming the top as your spot!!

Thanks for taking the time to read my review and I hope it's helped out in your decision on purchasing. I absolutely recommend this game if you are a MMA fan! Past games have fell short of bringing home the octagon experience but this game won't disappoint!

Thanks for the heads up about this review. I've been wondering if UFC was worth picking up so I'm glad to see a well written review of it.
