UFC President Dana White Comes Off as a Hyprocrite in Fedor Emelianenko Saga
But now that White has failed to sign him, his opinion of Emelianenko has taken a complete 180.
As reported by mmanews.com, White said that Fedor "sucks" and should not be considered a top five heavyweight right now.
What was that? Fedor "sucks?" Is this the president of the world's biggest MMA organization we're talking about here or the organizer of a secret fight club on a 6th grade playground?
Making it even worse is the fact that back in July, White all but guaranteed Fedor would have an immediate shot at the UFC heavyweight title after signing in the organization, which makes no sense considering Fedor "sucks" and all, right Dana?
Of course, White is just posturing and trying to make Emelianenko, a proud fighter with a strong desire to prove himself against the best in the world, so enraged that he changes his mind and decides to sign with the UFC. But it's probably unlikely to work and in the meantime White just comes off as a classless idiot.
The top five comment makes a little bit of sense if you were to approach it from the standpoint of Fedor's current level of rustiness, but even that's pushing it since Fedor has been so dominant for so long.
But to say he "sucks" just shows White's pettiness and cutthroat, profit-at-all costs attitude he's famous for.
Now that Chuck Liddell has been knocked down a few pegs and probably will never sniff another light heavyweight title and Randy Couture has retired in the wake of the UFC's inability to land Fedor, White knows his product could be in for a rough period so he's doing whatever he can to create false drama and keep the UFC in the headlines.
Will Emelianenko take the bait? Probably not, but if he does, fight fans everywhere will rejoice.

I would predict fedor being finished in the first round by Lesnar/Carwin/Velasquez/Cain.

Fedor needs to fight top competition and the top-5 fighters are all in the UFC. The only way to get this done is for the public to overwhelmingly push Fedor - Lesnar, Fedor- Carwin etc

Fedor is perhaps one of the best fighters in the world today. He holds notable victories against tough fighters over the years like Mark Hunt, Antonio Nogeria, Renanto Sobral, Kevin Randleman, Mark Coleman, Mirko Cro Cop, Matt Lindland. You need to observe his fights more closely and you'll see why he is one of best. But to say he sucks shows how uneducated you are about MMA. I suggest you do some research to appreciate the sport.
Fedor would lay waste to Mir or Lesnar. He is the ultimate thinking fighter.

Haha, Fedor has trounced overhyped UFC fighter Tim Sylvia in a paltry 30-odd seconds and White's reaction is that he "sucks"? Dana White sounds like my immature nephew, who begs and pleads for his way and, then when he doesn't get it throws out insults. Then again, no news is bad news for a businessman.
