Uh Oh Barbecue Sauce Recipe

You Can Make a Sauce from Just About Anything in the Fridge

Jean Anne
It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and we had been in the pool most of the day. Then the kids started asking, "what's for dinner?". I had chicken out thawing and they all wanted it cooked on the grill. Then my son said,
"don't forget the barbecue sauce". Sure, no problem, until I went to the pantry to look for the sauce and realized
we didn't have any. My husband said to just whip something up and they wouldn't know the difference. Sure
enough, they inhaled the chicken and wanted to make sure I bought the same kind next time. Little did they know
it was my own secret recipe.

To make it I just used a large bowl to mix a few ingredients:

*2 cups ketchup

*1/2 cup spicy mustard

*2 TBS liquid smoke

*2 TBS teriaki sauce

*1 tsp. course ground black pepper

*1 tsp. garlic powder

Simply mix all ingredients and brush on chicken (or other meat of your choice). Cook on the grill to desired
doneness or use the oven at 350 degrees for about one hour. Brush on a little extra right before serving. Recipe
is enough to cover approximately four to five pounds of meat, with a little left over for dipping.
