The same mistake repeats itself with their detailed denim jacket; they've over-buttoned it to death. Luckily, their classic denim jacket is what you'd expect, though boxy.

It's less tailored than a similar velvet jacket offered by Lane Bryant last fall, but the colors are lovely autumn shades. If you prefer the tailored look (and you should), Ulla Popken does have a great swirl velvet jacket that ties at the waist for a cinched fit. It looks great over jeans, skirts and dress pants.
